CDS Recruitment and Training have an fantastic opportunity for some one new to join the rapidly expanding company. Our International client have two sites in County Durham near Peterlee and supply parts to the automotive industry. There are real career opportunities for the right person.
Location – County Durham – near Peterlee.
Background : Production / Maintenance / robot programming experience / paint mixing experience / experience of interior car parts / running a team of technicians. This role is shift work based.
Salary £40,000 – £45,000 with great benefits.

OVERVIEW :
Spearhead technical objectives, a key part of the team with a level of autonomy.
Support production by ensuring optimal performance of the paint facility.
Support the monitoring & the reliability and productivity of APU with improved performance Safety/ Quality/ Cost/ Time/ Environment.
Understanding of NPI (New process introduction) to assist with industrialisation.
Understanding of PPS (Practical Problem Solving) to drive effective and timely problem solving.
Administration and regulation of Plant Technicians and Paint mixing operators daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
Working closely each day with Production, QHSE and Logistics departments.
Involvement of management of site waste streams. Build strong and effective process flow techniques within the robots and paint divisions to assist in the removal of bottlenecks and constraints.
As part of a team develop, streamline and improve processes and procedures ensuring efficient and effective manufacture of the company products, including the creation of SOP’s and taking responsibility for the maintenance (TPM) and repair of production equipment.
Communicate, Identify and resolve technical production issues such as LEAN, Continuous flow, Kaizan.
Utilise and enhance production and process improvement methods with team work with modern practices.
Effectively work towards high safety standards in conjunction with the HSQE Team
You will be available to identify critical areas of necessity.
MAIN MISSION :
1 – Ensure the day-to-day control of the process, technicians and Paint Mixing Operators
– Learn/Understand Paint application and methodology.
– Learn/ Understand Technical specification and tolerances
– Analyse causes and decide on methods and means most suited to his/her missions
– Contribute to improving production efficiency, scrap rate and technical productivity of processes
– Provide technical support for the APU by creating and developing technical standards, reference standards for settings and business operating procedures
– Ensure production equipment reliability to improve quality and safety of existing equipment
– Recommend innovative technical solutions for manufacturing processes to achieve productivity, quality improvement or safety targets
– Define and develop technical solutions with external service providers
2 – Guarantee the quality of technical function.
3 – Provide training for process participants and ensure the deployment and capitalization of technical skills within the APU
-Understand Training strategy
4 – Control the update of processes
-Adopt SMART system.
– Lead process optimization, perform tests and trials, draft test reports
– Conduct PDCA cycles for the process in the APU (mass production changes, scrap, cycle time, process,tools, etc.)
5 – Perform maintenance procedures
6 – Support Implementation of new processes
– Support Process flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and Training.
– Guide and validate tool design
– Receive processing means (tools, processes) in the APU with Methods, Maintenance and QHSE departments
– Perform product/process testing in the development phase and keep teams and specialized departments informed
7 – Help to ensure the smooth running of your zone
8 – Pass on required information to the production team
– Attend zone meetings
