Our client manufacture mechanical / hydraulic components for a variety of industries.
Reporting to the shop floor manager you will be operating a Colchester milling machine or Capstan Lathe, machining components from engineering drawings and too fine tolerances. You will be responsible for using radial arm drills, broaching machines, surface grinders and quality checking your own work. Majority of work is machining cast iron but also 316 stainless steel, marine grade aluminium as well gunmetal bronze.
You should be a time-served machinist and must be able to display experience of operating manual milling or lathe machines. This is a dayshift role working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
